A planned community south of town
Rancho Viejo is a master-planned community on the south side of Santa Fe, near the Santa Fe Community College area. Homes are newer and most driveways are already built, so projects here tend to be additions and maintenance rather than new driveways.
What we do here
- Driveway widening and extensions for another vehicle.
- Parking pads for trailers, campers or work trucks where allowed.
- Crack sealing and sealcoating on asphalt drives and community paving.
- Repairs to winter damage and settled areas.
- HOA work — community roads, paths and parking under a maintenance plan. See HOA roads.
Approvals
Planned communities usually have architectural guidelines. We'll provide a written scope and sketch for your submission and build to what's approved.
New-build backfill
Ground next to newer homes is often construction backfill that settles. Under any new pavement, we remove it and replace it with compacted base, sloping the surface away from the house.
What we do in Rancho Viejo
- New asphalt driveways and crusher-fine or gravel conversions
- Chip seal and long drives and private roads
- Drainage, culverts and grading
- Overlays, sealcoating and crack sealing
- Repairs and winter damage
- HOA and community roads and parking lots
Questions we hear
Can you add a parking pad in Rancho Viejo?
Where the guidelines allow it, yes. We'll provide what your review needs.
Do you work for the HOA?
We can bid community road and paving work through the association's process.
Will a new pad settle next to my house?
Not if the backfill is removed and replaced with compacted base, which we do.
